The Cyborg Collective believe that meat is a terrible hardware platform and they want off of it. While they are not actively hostile to baseline or GMO humans, they feel that these are inherently inferior branches of the species. This sect is particularly popular in Japan, where concepts like "The Ghost In The Machine" originated. NCANZ also has a strong presence in this transhumanist sect, given their strict laws about repairing but not augmenting a person.
The CC are considered radical but not hostile as Transhumanist sects go. Many members are researchers working on cybernetics and patients who have had medical conditions corrected by cybernetics. A third group - often at odds with the others - contains people who want to replace functional organs and limbs with cybernetic versions. These people almost always have to conceal the replacement parts, as this is illegal almost everywhere.
